Wrap your gifts with scarves. I know this sounds crazy but you can get adorable scarves at the dollar store then use them to wrap small boxes. Just tie it corner to corner and you will have cute bow too!

Fabric works the same. Have a ton of holiday fabric lying around? Then get it out and get to using it on those boxes for an extra fancy look.
Gift Wrapping Secret Number Four: Brown Paper Packages Tied up with String.
Brown paper sacks from the grocery can really look adorable when wrapping. Use them with a diy rolling stamp or regular stamps to create your own paper. Tie off with a little baking twine for extra oomph!
Gift Wrapping Secret Number Five: Wrap Gifts in the Right Place.
Wrap on a large, hard, flat surface to keep your paper from wrinkling. Your squishy bed is not the handiest place to wrap gifts neatly. You can also store the paper in a garment bag in order to keep it from getting all those crinkles.
Gift Wrapping Secret Number Six: Decorate and Accessorize Packages with Flare.
Twine and rope make great additions to your gift wrapping. Buying a roll of bakers twine in red and/or mint is quite adorable. Also, use brown rope over red and white wrapping paper for a more rustic feel.

Last year I got some slightly boring brown paper with a white snowflake design, so this year I got bright Christmassy washi tape, and will give the brown-wrapped packages to my 7yo, along with your tags, and tell him to get creative. I’m sure they’ll be festive!
