How many days is it until Christmas? I don’t know about you but I’m getting asked that question every single day. Its usually followed up with children quickly doing some math in their heads – even though we have a couple different Christmas countdown displays in plain site – they like to make sure the countdown number is correct. We need a Christmas countdown calendar for kids in every single room, especially with multiple children who like to change out the number themselves. I need one for each child.
Our free printable Christmas countdown calendar for kids is actually so lovely you will probably enjoy hanging it in your home and sharing it with friends and family who visit. The peaceful winter bird and squirrel design is attractive to look at and reminds my kids of the birds (and squirrels) we feed outside. Of course, it makes us all wish for snowy branches, which will hopefully come soon enough. Isn’t so beautiful?
On dreary days, I’ve found that a Christmas countdown hanging on the wall can help reset attitudes super fast — “Hey, how many days is it until Christmas?” That question is almost certain to lighten the mood and help kids move on from big emotions and silly arguments.
When you are ready to print out your Christmas countdown calendar for kids, you have a few different options. You can print the base calendar on heavier card stock for a sturdier page to tack up somewhere. Or you can print the calendar on regular paper and laminate it so that it will keep from year to year. Another great option would be to frame the base in a pretty white frame, and then laminate the numbers and change them out each day with a little piece of tape. Hang your countdown calendar on the fridge, and change out the number each day with a pretty magnet. Get super crafty, and put little magnet tabs on the back of each number. The possibilities for using this free printable Christmas countdown calendar for kids are as endless as your crafty imagination.
