When my kids were little, setting up those habits of self-care, daily chores and weekly chores seemed like the most impossible task ever. I really needed this fun kids chore chart printable set! Using pictures, our chore charts and self-care charts help your little kids visualize what needs to be done each day. A fun collection of rewarding stickers is also provided to print.

Setting kids up with great habits early will be a huge bonus before they enter the tween and teen years when it often seems like they will need daily reminders to wash their hair and wear deodorant. Our kids chore chart printable will set your kids up for success and form a great foundation for a lifetime of good hygiene.

You will get two sets of chore charts, one complete set featuring a little boy and one complete set featuring a little girl. You will also get two full pages of stickers for your child to choose from each day. Print the stickers on full sheet label paper, then cut them out using a paper cutter (this one is my favorite) and place them in a baggy or jar for easy use.

The Daily Self Care chart included in our Kids Chore Chart Printable lists the following tasks: take bath, brush teeth, comb hair, and get dressed. If your child brushes teeth twice in one day, just put two stickers in that box!

The Daily Chores chart included in our Kids Chore Chart Printable has the following chores: make bed, put away toys, feed pet, and set table.

The Weekly Chores chart included in our Kids Chore Chart Printable has the following chores: put away clothes, vacuum, help with dishes, and take out trash. If you have more than one child, have each child help with a different part of kitchen clean-up or food prep for that task. Break up large chores into manageable size chunks for little ones. Even little bitty kids can help empty the silverware (for helping with dishes) or use a portable vac to sweep under the table (for vacuuming.)

The best part is, helping with chores is fantastic for your child’s growth and development. Chores help your child learn that they can do bigger things than they might have thought. Little kids love knowing that they are contributing to the work of the family. These concepts are a boost to self-esteem. Each chore also helps build gross motor skills, fine motor skills, visual perceptual skills, or critical thinking skills for your child. Using our Kids chore chart printable might even help your child reach basic developmental milestones in these areas!

When one of our children (at age 3) had low muscle tone, the occupational therapist actually recommended that we have her help carry groceries in and carry laundry baskets as a way to build core strength. As long as you are choosing age-appropriate chores, those tasks are a benefit to your child, and not a detriment.

When you are ready to start having your kids do chores, there is one foundational key to success and that is consistency. Using our kids chore chart printable provides you with the tools you need to be consistent in this area. Simply print out a copy each week, or store copies for the entire month in a folder. Hang the chart in a prominent place in your home, and check in on your child’s progress daily to make sure the tasks are getting done. Set a specific time to check each chart so that it becomes a part of your routine. In no time at all, your child will have developed great habits for a lifetime!
